The Baja California peninsula ends, just where the land ends and becomes the sea, there are places that fascinate with their quiet provincial softened by the warm smile of the people, excited about their chances of nautical adventures, astounding in its tourism infrastructure or amuse by their bohemian nights, lights, toast and dance music. Los Cabos is one of the 5 municipalities of Baja California Sur. The header is San Jose del Cabo, a place that retains its quiet provincial aspect. Only 32 kilometres from San Jose del Cabo is Cabo San Lucas, a stronghold which has a modern tourist infrastructure.
In Los Cabos you must visit:
San Jose Del Cabo
A wonderful bay, a serene town typically Mexican. People have fun in the sea or relaxing under the protective shade of a palm. Prints worshiped daily at the beaches on the Sea of Cortes repeated scenes in the main square in a town of provincial atmosphere.
Since 1928, the fishing village of San Jose del Cabo is the county seat of Los Cabos, and since 1970, when tourism started to take off, a fixture in the log destination of passengers, not only for the excellence of its bay -- bastion of water sports, but for the rest of its streets and picturesque corners where no missing craftsmen, painters and musicians, not colourful fairs and festivals.
San Jose del Cabo is located 152 kilometres from La Paz, the state capital of Baja California Sur.

Estero San Jose
A piece of greenery in the desert sand. An oasis of lush vegetation, a necessary stop for more than 200 species of migratory birds and is the natural reserve of 50 hectares located at the mouth of the Rio San Jose in the Sea of Cortez. The lush vegetation of the estuary appears to be a miracle in a desert area where it rains only four or five days a year, usually in September, so the flora of San Jose is adequate to store and make the most of rainwater.
Before emptying into the Sea of Cortez, the San Jose River runs 30 miles. On reaching the ocean, high tides contributes to mix fresh and salt water, causing nutrient-rich solution that ends sediment, which favours the explosion of life. In the upper estuary and fresh water is a great variety of plants, but in the bottom, the flora that grows only can dominate the high degree of salinity. Similarly, fish and other marine species spend their larval or juvenile stage due to the large amount of food that allows them to develop and reach their adult level before returning to the ocean, also in their migratory birds stop over in the area, exploit the abundance of seeds and small fruits to satisfy your hunger and gain strength.
From an anthropological perspective, the estuary, its abundance of life, attracted pericues Indians, who were the first to settle in the area. Later the Spanish found the Mission San Jose. In the calm waters can be crossed the creek in a kayak, which allows us to appreciate more about their exotic beauty.
Cabo San Lucas
In the 70s of last century, this former fishing village became a tourist destination. The rationale for the change: a small picturesque bay, dream, an exceptional sea of transparent waters, with chains of black coral and underwater sand waterfalls.
Located 241 kilometres from La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur, Cabo San Lucas is a barren place of beauty where you can fish, dive among corals or practicing any water sport. It is a true adventure challenge that is complemented by excellent services and infrastructure, which will make your stay more enjoyable.
In Cabo San Lucas, on the tip of the Baja California peninsula for more of what you want. A divine scenery, excellent hotels, restaurants Praise your palate with its exclusive shops, a modern marina and incredible nightlife that called insomnia.

The Arc
The seesaw pattern of the waves carved the rock for hundreds, perhaps thousands of years to create a monumental and imposing arch right on the tip of the Baja California peninsula, making it the only "Finisterra" (end of the earth) the world.
Under the shadow of the arch meet the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, also in its rocky surface prickly ties inhabiting seals and sea lions, one of the greatest attractions of this giant rock that has become the principal symbol of Los Cabos, so much so that it appears in the municipal shield.
In the Arc-located in Cabo San Lucas will conduct tours in glass bottom boats, which allow the assessment to the goldfish living in the clear waters surrounding the natural monument.
Playa del Amor
Every four years near the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas is formed a very pretty white sand beach is visited primarily by loving couples who come to the area to play with the water, frolic on the shore or simply walk at dusk.
In this beach has a spectacular view of the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean. For romantics are made fun rides and glass bottom boats.
El Faro de Cabo Falso
In their heyday led to ships plying the sea. Today, a skeleton is left resting on the sand dunes that surround it. It was built in 1890 and, despite its apparent abandonment is one of the biggest attractions in Cabo San Lucas.
Despite being located a few kilometres from downtown, the lighthouse can only be reached by horse or 4 x 4 vehicles, conveyances that can be rented without problem in the downtown.
La Marina
It is the tourist heart of Cabo San Lucas. A luxurious central point with docking areas for over 350 yachts and boats, numerous restaurants, shops where you can find everything you need and a huge shopping centre.
The Navy is agitated and restless, especially in the evening when the entertainment centres open their doors and everything becomes party. At dawn, when the last passengers propose toasts the village fishermen ready their gear and boats before going to sea in search of gold, tuna and snapper, and even, marlin.
The Corridor
It's a 32-mile route linking the peaceful city of San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas. It has four lanes and is one of the most important roads in Baja California, allowing quick and easy transit of the thousands of people going from one end to another.
The corridor runs parallel to the Sea of Cortez and is flanked by luxurious hotels, golf courses and beautiful beaches, one of the most exclusive areas of Los Cabos. It is ideal for shopping or entertainment at nightclubs.
Move around the corridor is quite simple. There are taxis and buses that cover the route. The journey is very interesting and lets you enjoy the coastal beauty, especially the beaches Palmilla, El Chileno and Santamaria, among others.
