In the first weekend of the summer holiday season and to take advantage of the radiant sun and good weather in Veracruz, dozens of tourists and passersby crowded the beaches of the metropolitan area, primarily to Villa del Mar, the Playon de Hornos, Los Arcos, Costa de Oro and the town of Boca del Rio, respectively.
This meant a significant economic income among providers of goods and tourism services along the 20 miles of coastline between the two municipalities, although other rubles as lodging, meals and transportation also drew a boom.
