Oaxaca Gastronomy

The selection of ingredients that take part in the elaboration of moles, memelas, tamales and grasshoppers, are the most traditional ones. The moles for example vary in the chili's used for its preparation, along with about twenty other ingredients that makes this dish one of the most exquisit of Mexico's gastronomy. Exotic ingredients transform into a mix of dishes that decorate the kitchen of the best gourmet mexican restaurants with red grasshoppers and a'ts. Of course you can't forget the famous Oaxaca tamales wraped in banana leaf, the original entomatadas of black Oaxaca beans.

Such gastronomical abundance is worth trying when visiting Mexico, speacilly Oaxaca.
When it is about calming your thrist ;it is recommendble to try the waters of Casilda, a beverage made with cacti and walnuts, besides the waters of graded lemons. But if you want to try stronger drinks you should try the tejate based on mize, caco, flowers, ashes, sugar and seeds, or a good glass of mezcal which is a pretty strong beverage very much appreciated in the region.
